Under Construction -- Stop Back Soon for More Information

The York Time Institute was founded by Daniel Nied in order to address the shortage of qualified watch and clock makers in the United States.  The Institute is housed in a 150 year old building in historic Downtown York, PA.  Historical research on the building revealed that two other watchmakers had been located there in the late 1800's.  The Institute is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and offers a Diploma Program in Horological Conservation, Restoration, and Repair, as well as weekend and evening courses for the collector and hobbyist.  Children's programs are also part of the diverse business of the York Time Institute.

Our services include:

Instruction - Diploma Program and Short Courses

Conservation and Restoration of Antique Timepieces

                        Repair of Fine Timepieces

Consulting Services for Museums, Collectors, and Government Agencies

                        Lecture Series

Manufacturing of Custom Watches and Clocks

                        Apprenticeships
